Well, I had a wonderful surprise. A 1966 Amazon should have a B18 1.8L engine with 90 HP. I noticed the number stamped on the block is 496996. After much Googling this is a B20B 2.0L 118 HP engine! This model engine was never installed in any car, but was a replacement that could be ordered from Volvo. So, apparently in Ingrid’s past the B18 died and a B20 was ordered. I am a little excited to learn I have 28 more HP, does not sound like much, but she only weighs 2400 LBS. This car is really a hodgepodge of parts, she is 90% 1966 and 10% 196?, when ordering parts one has to look at the part, then compare it to the new part before ordering.
