The drip pan was flooding on one of my AC units, it was dripping through the emergency overflow in front of an upstairs window. I thought it was a clogged drain pipe, but the pipe was clear. I was stumped, so exhausted from hanging out in the hot attic I sat on the unit to rest a bit. I looked down and the water started flowing through the pipe??? So, I had an idea, I ran downstairs and grabbed the level, sure enough the unit was not level. It was off just a little, I found a piece of old serpentine belt from the Ford and placed it under the low end, FIXED! Since I was in the neighborhood I installed a ‘T’ pipe on both units in the drain so I can pour Clorox down the pipe a few time a year to prevent mold build up.
Products used:
- A foot of old serpentine belt
- A few pieces of PVC and glue
- A bit of Clorox
