Vizio 60″ – E600i-B3 – Turning itself off

Our 60″ Vizio was randomly turning itself off and would not turn back on for several minutes.  It only happened once a day or so, then it got to the point where we could not watch TV.  Then it just finally died.  This TV is pretty simple, it has a power supply board, a logic board, and a LED display driver board.  I of course did some Googling and everything pointed to the power supply board.  I searched for the model number on ebay and found one for $17!  The TV has about 60 screws holding it together, but other than that it was a fast surgery.  Just unplugged the old and plugged in the new.  I really thought I would see some bloated capacitors or some other components not feeling well, but everything looked brand new.  The new board was the same revision as the old 1.2.  Oh well, it fixed the problem and we have not had any more problems out of this TV.  I really need to add a surge protector, our power is always fluctuating.
